Puerto Vallarta Shore Excursion

Day-length realism

One day in Puerto Vallarta

Match your printed ship window to what actually fits after docking — short Malecón runs, half-day outings, and long-call gates.

Short calls after docking

If your printed window is tight once you account for pier exit and return security, favour the Malecón scavenger, sea turtle camp, or a relaxed waterfront morning. We do not invent a numeric buffer — leave honest margin on top of product duration.

Typical half-day windows

Around five to seven printed hours often suits the exclusive city tour, private Los Arcos snorkel, or whale research in season. Use Find my cruise to rank options against your hours and interests.

Longer active days and seasonal picks

Canopy adventure and Marietas Island snorkel need longer printed windows after docking. Whale research is seasonal (typically December–March) — we will not imply year-round availability. Sayulita and San Sebastián are long-corridor day trips outside our default launch set.

Independent port time

Malecón walks, lunch ashore, and downtown browsing are valid choices when curated outings do not fit. See first time in Puerto Vallarta for dock orientation.
